Follow These Steps to Create a User ID
The instructions below walk you through the online process for creating a User ID and Password.
Click “Log in to Your Account” from the homepage. Then select Create User ID from the log-in page.
Step One: Confirm your identity by entering the last four digits of your Social Security Number (or Tax Identification Number) and any one of your Homestead Funds’ account numbers (from a recent statement or trade confirmation). Also select the name of a fund included in that account position from the list.
Step Two: Enter a User ID. This must be an alphanumeric entry with a minimum of eight characters and maximum of 24. At least two characters must be numbers.
Step Three: Enter a Password. This must be an alphanumeric entry with a minimum of eight characters and maximum of 12. At least two characters must be numbers.
Step Four: Ask and answer a security question. This will enable you to reset your password online and then create a new one if you later forget it.
When you are satisfied with your entries, click the “Submit” button. If there was a problem with your request, the Create User ID page will display again and there will be a clarification below the data entry field explaining the problem entry. Correct and resubmit.
Use these alphanumeric entries each time you log in. Be sure to keep your user ID and Password confidential. Anyone who has this information will be able to log in to your account and make transactions.
