Open a New Account

Once you are ready to open a Homestead Funds account, just follow these steps:

1. Find the application you need from the list below and download it using the clickable links under PDF Resources on the left.

2. Complete the application. You can type directly into the fields in the PDF file, but you will still need to print and sign the application.

3. Mail your completed application to:

We accept personal and business checks made payable directly to Homestead Funds. We cannot accept third-party checks, credit card convenience checks, bank account starter checks, cash or cash equivalents including money orders, traveler's checks, cashier's checks or bearer bonds.

Regular Account Application

The minimum to open a taxable account is $500. Select this application for:

• Individual account
• Joint account
• UGMA/UTMA account
• Corporate account
• Trust account

IRA Account Application

The minimum to open an IRA is $200. Select this application for:

• Roth IRA
• Traditional IRA
• Rollover IRA

Education Savings Account Application

The minimum to open an Education Savings Account is $200.
